A Little About Polki Jewellery

Polki jewellery is a grand testimony to the rich culture, heritage and tradition of jewellery making that has disseminated to us from our forefathers. Polki is basically uncut diamonds that are mostly used in their natural form. It is one of the oldest form of jewellery craftsmanship and requires attention to details and intricate execution of design. It got introduced in India thanks to the Mughals who loved diamonds in their original form. Polki jewellery requires a foil at the back so that the stones can be brought together and is a bit on the costlier side. However, the money you spend on it is worth the finished product that you get at the end. Moreover, when polki is combined with rubies, emerald and sapphire, it is nothing short of an heirloom.

JewelsForum – Blending of Dreams, Passion and Design Excellence

It was just another Sunday evening with  friends at one of the restaurants in the city during last summers. While waiting, I was overhearing a conversation between a couple discussing about jewellery as a gift for anniversary for which they were there to celebrate. As it would go, the husband was explaining how he could not manage time out in the day to purchase a pair of earrings for her.

Once I was back, the conversation kept coming back to me and a simple idea struck me to create a simple platform showcasing chic fine jewellery designs with an affordable price which can be accessed from comfort of home/office. It would serve two ways, it saves on the time and cost of going to a brick and mortar with a limited range of products and two, it would help in saving a lot on jewellery purchase as brick and mortar shops have a higher overhead to cover.

Before taking a step out, I browsed through a couple of popular websites in India. Having been in jewellery industry for  years and being confident of my natural flair for designs, I felt that I can contribute more to this segment with more concept based designs at prices lower than the brick and mortar shop.

I along with a friend decided to do put some designs on a web-page and circulated to a selective audience. To our surprise we received a wonderful response for the thought and the designs as well. We even sold some and delivered it right there at their door in a gift package. That is when we decided to create a forum for all those who are seeking for that perfect piece of jewellery which seems just made for them.

After putting in efforts for just over a year, trying to build designs that will speak for itself and a simple seamless platform, we came up with JewelsForum. We at JewelsForum strongly believe that jewelery just does not adorn you, it defines you. Each piece is designed by a dream and crafted by our sheer passion about jewelery. And we mean it when we say it.

The manufacturing experience and an experience of personalized dealing has helped us in making design, quality and craftsmanship as the main touch points for our business. With all of this and more, we welcome you to experience the exquisite designs and a wonderful customer experience.

We are always open to feedback and queries. With all honesty we promise to take each of your feedback intently and improve on it. Please feel free to write back to ajeetsethia@jewelsforum.com.
